Customer Service Team
This team is responsible for working at our Service Desk or Welcome Desk. Duties include selling memberships, signing people up for programs, scanning cards, answering phones and being the first point of contact for YMCA members and guests. Staff will ensure that our members and guests have great customer service and their needs are met.
Hours vary but mainly between 8am – 10pm Sunday - Saturday. Please apply online.
The Safety Instructor is a key member of the Aquatics team that is responsible for teaching Lifeguard courses, Lifeguard Review courses, or a variety of First Aid/CPR/AED courses in Lay Person or Professional/Health Care provider, for staff and community members. The Instructor is responsible for the appearance, presentation, and working order of all materials and equipment used for training. Group Exercise Instructor: HIIT/Just Pump Instructor
We are looking for a morning Just Pump/HIIT instructor. The ideal candidate has early morning availability, the ability to progress and modify exercises and has an energetic teaching style. The Y Group Fitness Department is dedicated to providing safe and positive exercise opportunities for all fitness levels. Participants in our fitness classes are encouraged to perform various fitness exercises under the guidance of caring, supportive and knowledgeable staff. Group Exercise Instructor: Indoor Cycling
The Indoor Cycling Instructor provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for participants in group exercise classes. Individual must demonstrate ability to lead participants in the development of a safe and effective cycling class. Individual must have the ability to interpret YMCA program philosophies and relate them to participants in a positive manner. Individual practices mature judgment and sound decision-making. Specific availability would be Monday – Friday for the 9 am class time, with a potential rotation on Saturdays.

The Lifeguard is a key member of the Aquatics team that is responsible for supervising the aquatics area to prevent accidents, assist swimmers, and respond to emergencies. Each member of our Lifeguard team creates a safe, positive and enjoyable atmosphere, promoting member safety and satisfaction in accordance with the YMCA policies and procedures. Yoga Instructor: Barron
The Eau Claire YMCA partners with Mayo Clinic Health System, offering their employees group exercise classes at all locations. We are specifically hiring a yoga instructor for Tuesday nights at 5:00 PM at the Barron Mayo Clinic.
Be able to instruct yoga to all levels

Yoga Instructor: Eau Claire YMCA
The YMCA is looking for a certified Yoga instructor to either sub or take on a weekly class. Must be able to teach yoga to all levels, create a welcoming environment and follow the YMCA's core values and mission. This individual needs to have a valid and current yoga certification.
Child Watch Caregiver
Kids Korner Caregivers supervise children ages 4 weeks to 11 years, while their parents are using the YMCA facility. Staff will implement developmentally appropriate activities ensuring the children’s safety. Staff will work with other team members to ensure a safe, enriching, and healthy environment for the children in our care. Every effort will be made to uphold the Y’s long standing character values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility.
Lifeguard Instructor and CPR Instructor
Both Lifeguard Instructors and CPR Instructors are needed. Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, in cooperation with other YMCA staff, and consistent with the YMCA mission, the Safety Instructor (LGI or CPRI) is responsible for the instruction, leadership, supervision, control, and safety of all class participants. The Safety Instructor (LGI or CPRI) is responsible for the appearance, presentation, and working order of all materials and equipment used for training. It is the Safety Instructor (LGI or CPRI) responsibility to observe and direct all class participants, and to provide feedback and appropriate correction as instructed or included in the job description.
Before & After School Care - SACC Lead Teachers
Assistant Lead (Part Time - 2-6 hours per day)
The Eau Claire YMCA runs a before and after school program at many area elementary schools and at the YMCA. We are looking for leads and assistant leads who have a warm, nurturing and friendly personality. They must be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, relate well with children and fulfill all responsibilities in accordance with the YMCA philosophy. Because we work in teams, this person must have a mature attitude that allows her/him to communicate effectively, problem solve and anticipate the needs of children and fellow co-workers. This program runs on the same time frame as the school district calendar and is considered a temporary, part-time position and offers 2-6 hours per day to better fit your schedule. The candidates must display the following attributes:
· Plan and coordinate large and small motor skills activities at your site.
· Encourage children’s growth in character development through honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.
· Be a role model and teacher of good communication skills, listening skills, cooperation, problem solving and self-control.
· Be a “Team Player” through building strong relationships with staff, children, and parents.
Pay starts at $8.55 per hour. Hourly rate may be higher based on experience and longevity. Successful team members will be awarded a year’s YMCA membership at no cost after two weeks of on-site employment. You must be 18 or over to apply.
